SimCorp SaaS clients can now access Virtu’s ITG Net as part of the SimCorp’s new managed service, FIX as
a Service, and all SimCorp clients will have the option to use Virtu’s Triton EMS integrated directly with their
SimCorp platform.
SimCorp and Virtu Financial, a leading provider of global, multi-asset financial services that delivers liquidity and
innovative, transparent products to the global markets, today announced the expansion of their partnership.
The expanded partnership aimed to support SimCorp clients with enhanced trading, connectivity, and workflow
solutions, which would help them efficiently manage their operations wherever they trade.
SimCorp clients have been able to use ITG Net, Virtu’s broker-neutral financial communications network, in
combination with SimCorp’s Order Management capabilities since 2010. The expansion of this partnership includes
the ability for clients to utilize ITG Net in SimCorp’s new FIX as a Service offering and tightening the
integration of Virtu’s global multi asset-class Execution Management System (EMS) Triton with SimCorp’s
Order Management System (OMS) to create a more seamless experience for the trading desk.
The integration of Virtu’s Triton EMS will further strengthen the SimCorp Trade Execution offering by adding a
global, broker-neutral, multi asset-class platform that combines cutting-edge liquidity, execution, analytics and
workflow solutions into one unified and customizable execution interface. SimCorp clients will benefit from using best
of breed services throughout the entire lifecycle of the investment process.
FIX as a Service is a new service offering available to SimCorp SaaS clients who use SimCorp’s Order Manager.
The streamlined service lessens the operational and technical overhead of electronic trading for clients, reduces
their need to maintain dedicated in-house FIX capabilities, minimizes their operational risk around FIX connectivity,
and accelerates their onboarding of new FIX trading destinations.
Together with Virtu Financial and its ITG Net FIX hub, SimCorp offers its clients easy access to over 700 brokers and
third-party trading platforms, with compliance-driven trade surveillance reporting, and proven and efficient tools for
adding new trading destinations when necessary.
Anders Kirkeby, Head of Open Innovation, SimCorp: “With our Open Platform partners, our objective is to
complement our SimCorp offering with functionality and connectivity that helps our clients run their investment
operations more efficiently. This is what we continue to do here with Virtu’s Triton and ITG Net: With Triton we
complete our target set of choices of leading cross-asset EMSs to ensure traders have easy access to the best
execution support available on the market wherever they operate. With ITG Net we begin to offer FIX services
leveraging their broad and robust FIX network so clients can focus on their core business instead of running
IT.”
Melissa Ellis, Managing Director, EMEA at Virtu Financial, adds: "Virtu values our strong working relationship with
SimCorp and is excited to formalize it by joining its Open Platform initiative to become SimCorp’s first FIX
Network on its new cloud-based service, FIX as a Service. This partnership enables our mutual clients to enhance their
workflows between Triton EMS and Order Manager and gives them extensive connectivity on-demand across asset classes
for their trading desks through a single relationship.”
